Our History

The Fellowship grew out of a Crusader group run by two Poynton Ladies, Greta Alston and Alice Herbert, who felt very strongly that the Lord was telling them that a work should be started for the parents of the children attending the Crusader meetings.

In 1977 the Christian head teacher of Lostock Hall school was approached and permission was obtained to hold worship meetings in the school on Sundays.  This happy association between the Fellowship and the school has continued for over 40 years and several changes of school headteachers.

On obtaining the necessary permission, services commenced in 1978.

The Fellowship has never had a full time Minister. A decision was taken to call on a small circle of local preachers to assist the Elders in the Sunday preaching.
